The Richland B&O Trail is a paved 18.4 mile bike trail connecting the villages of Butler, Bellville, Lexington, the city of Mansfield and Kingwood Center Gardens.  The trail surveys wide open farmland, glacier-carved forest areas and riders will cross 18 bridges on the trail.

The best feature of the B&O Trail is that it is built for leisure enjoyment.   Along the trail, there are ice cream stands, a winery, coffee shops, quaint restaurants, Bed & Breakfasts and the famous landscaped gardens at Kingwood Center Gardens.  You can easily make a day of it or spend the night after taking your time to explore each community.

The trail is open year-round during daylight hours for bicycling, in-line skating, walking, jogging and cross-country skiing in the winter.  Motorized vehicles and horseback riding are prohibited.  It is handicapped accessible.  There are five restroom areas.

Parking and bike trail access are available in each of the communities listed below. It is handicapped accessible and bike rentals and repairs are available at Y-Not Cycling & Fitness.

Did you know that the Bellville, Butler, and Lexington Branches of the library offer a variety of bikes for you to check out and ride on the bike trail with a valid MRCPL library card? Check out this short video on how easy it is to rent HERE.
