An elegant greenhouse features plants for sale including rare and distinctive selections not found in garden centers. The extensive gardens and grounds offer an oasis from the stress and commotion. Programming includes lectures, workshops, family and children’s activities and special events. See our website for details.

2018 Group Tour Price: Guided Tours $7.00 per person, non-guided tours $3.00 per person (These prices include admission). To get these group tour prices, a 2-week booking is required. We also offer golf cart tours for those with physical limitations. Please see our website for details.

Kingwood is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Attention: With the new construction of the Garden Gateway Visitor’s Center, the Trimble Road entrance and parking lot will be temporarily closed for the 2019 season. Please use the Park Avenue West entrance and parking lot for admission. There will be additional parking available on Linden Avenue, as well as a second entrance at the Linden Avenue gate.

The French Provincial mansion contains many rooms decorated with Mr. King’s original furnishings.  An elegant greenhouse features 9 months of displays and plant sales. The extensive grounds offer opportunities for hiking and quiet isolation.

Extend your stay at Kingwood Center Gardens with the optional catered sack lunch.  $12.00 p/p (2019 price) and includes an indoor venue. Sack lunch includes choice of sandwich, homemade garden pasta salad, fresh baked chocolate chip cookie and a variety of beverage choices.

Sandwich choices are:

-Butter Croissant with Doc’s Special Recipe Chicken Salad

-Butter Croissant with Doc’s Homemade Egg Salad

-Whole Wheat Hoagie Roll with Premium Smoked Turkey, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato (mustard and mayo packets)

  • Hours: April-Oct. 9am-7pm/closed Jan. Feb. and March; Greenhouse open daily April-Oct. Kingwood Hall – see website for days and hours – also available by appointment. Closed in Jan. and Feb.

We offer 3 unique event spaces for multi-use events such as meetings, parties, weddings, etc. Kingwood provides all tables and chairs as well as set up and tear down. Catering fees and rental fees do apply to catered events held at Kingwood Center Gardens.
