Sgraffito Mandala Plate

Come join us in learning a new pottery, under-glazing technique. In this clay workshop, your 8 inch pottery vessel will be pre-thrown by our staff and ready for you to learn how to Sgraffito your way to a unique and interesting pottery piece.
Sgraffito is a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color, typically done in slip on ceramics before firing. This etching-style technique is beautiful regardless if you are building your skills, or just a beginner. You will be able to create your own inspired pottery piece by paraphrasing our sample or creating and scratching your own original idea.
Remember, we are playing it safe for everyone so we wear our masks and keep our social distances at all times. Maximum 10 participant per class.
