Ohio State African Violet Show and Sale

The Ohio State African Violet Society (www.osavs.org) Annual Show and Sale will be held September 7-8, 2018 at Kingwood Center Gardens (50 Trimble Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44906). Dedicated growers will be on hand for horticultural consultation and educational programs will be offered over the two-day event. The Commercial Vendor Sales area will be open 9 am to 5 pm on Friday, September 7 (in the Carriage House) and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, September 8. This is a great opportunity to purchase plants, leaves and cuttings of hard-to-find and rare varieties of African Violets and Gesneriads and related growing supplies from nationally renowned vendors. Currently, the list of Commercial Vendors includes: Buckeye Violets, Fancy Bloomers, Lyndon Lyons Greenhouses, Violet Barn and Violet Gallery. The Show will be open for viewing 1-5 pm on Friday, September 7 and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, September 8. It is an African Violet Society of America (www.avsa.org) sanctioned competition featuring plants of cultural excellence from the Society’s members’ collections and unique plant designs. People from many areas of the country and Canada are members of OSAVS and attend and exhibit. Entrance to the show/sale is free though there is a $5/car parking charge by Kingwood Center Gardens.
