By now, most have heard the news that Hollywood is calling Mansfield home once again. The movie “Escape Plan 3”, staring Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista will be filmed primarily at the Ohio State Reformatory (OSR) as well as other locations around the Mansfield area.
If not for the Reformatory operating successfully, there is no movie filmed here. Thank you to Dan Smith and the Ohio State Reformatory! Also, our appreciation to the city of Mansfield for working with the production staff to help them with using locations around the city.
What isn’t widely known, is OSR fields requests for video and filming opportunities regularly. Most don’t pan out for a variety of reasons, but we are glad this one did. The economic impact will not be known for a while. When those figures are known, we’ll let everyone know. Nice to have Hollywood back in town.
