Bring Richland County Restaurants and Live Music Home

Our “Dinner and a Show” social media campaign, which partners local restaurants with local musicians, brings you its next installment of live music! Destination Mansfield will continue to feature local carry-out restaurants alongside local performing artists for virtual concerts. In the past, these artists performed at these locations live, but now they will be performing virtually via a live broadcast on the Destination Mansfield – Richland County Facebook Page.

The May line-up:

Friday May 1 at 7pm – The Happy Grape in Lexington and Taylor Schlupp Music

Friday May 8 at 6pm – DLX | Dan Lew Exchange and Kelly Knowlton

Saturday May 16 at 7pm – The Wishmaker House and Henry J. Konczak

How does “Dinner & A Show” work?

If you want to order food, go to the Restaurants Open for Take-out and Delivery page and find what you’re in the mood for. Simply pick up dinner or have it delivered, then grab the best seat in the house (your house). Enjoy a live concert by going to the Destination Mansfield – Richland County Events Facebook Page.

These concerts are a collaboration of Destination Mansfield – Richland County, Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development, Downtown Mansfield Inc., and the local restaurants and artists of Richland County.

The concept was a natural after Destination Mansfield developed the Richland County Restaurants Open for Take-out and Delivery page. “It seemed like the next logical step in bringing local entertainment into the homes of residents while putting a new twist on the ongoing take out campaign that’s been underway since the stay at home order went into effect”, according to Jennifer Kime, CEO at Downtown Mansfield, Inc.

“It made perfect sense to support local musicians in a fun way that made an evening out of it”, added Jodie Perry, Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development President & CEO.

Tips for both restaurants and musicians are encouraged to support employees and artists furloughed due to COVID-19.
