The Foreigner-- a comedy by Larry Shue, Directed by Steve Arnold
The Mansfield Playhouse kicks off its 2013-14 season with the comedy The Foreigner, which opens Friday, September 13, at 8:00 pm. Froggy LeSueur, a frequent visitor to a fishing lodge in Georgia, brings along his shy friend, Charlie. To prevent Charlie from having to interact with visitors they explain he is a foreigner who doesn’t understand English. People soon begin to speak freely in front of him and secrets are revealed. When Charlie discovers that the town minister is up to no good, he finds himself smack in the middle of a good guys versus bad guys scenario. It’s perilous for Charlie, but hilarious for the audience.
The Foreigner runs September 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8:00 pm, plus a 2:30 matinee on Sunday, September 22. Purchase tickets here or call the Box Office at 419-522-2883 1:00-6:00 pm Wednesdays through Fridays.
The Mansfield Playhouse is pleased to announce its 2013-14 season. Our theme will be "A Season of Favorites," highlighting the return of some of the most popular productions in the recent history of the Playhouse. With a season this great, you might want to consider purchasing a season pass. For more information call the Playhouse at 419-522-8140 Wednesdays through Fridays between the hours of 1:00 and 6:00pm.
