Ridin’ the Rodeo

The Richland County Fair kicks off August 7th and features a variety of high energy events such as the Rodeo on August 9th! Watch as expert riders from the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association, SEBRA, fight to stay on a wild, bucking bull.  If one night of danger and fun isn’t enough for you, head on over to Spitzer Motor Speedway to experience even more bull riding! Both of these sanctioned events are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seats. Check out the full schedule of events for fair week and Spitzer Motor Speedway.

Festivals and Fun!

Many upbeat and energetic festivals take place this month. Head on over to Plymouth on August 6th for the Color Riot 5K Run/ Walk. This is so much more than an average race as it will be held at night and filled with black lights, neon inflatables, slip and slides, and a live DJ! The party doesn’t stop with this race because Ohio Dreams is hosting EST Fest that same weekend and the world-famous Machine Gun Kelly will be headlining the event. Ohio Dreams will also be hosting a Sports and Music Fest later this month. SAM Fest will feature their well-known Slip ‘N’ Fly, helicopter rides, sky diving, camping, and live music making it one of the most extreme and adrenaline filled events in all of Ohio! The annual Lexington Blueberry Festival will also be returning this month and never disappoints with its glow run, parade, pageants, vendors, and a spectacular firework display. Finally be sure to stop out at the last Final Friday of the summer at The Brickyard. Enjoy a local brew from Phoenix Brewery and enjoy live and local music entertainment. At this curated market you can purchase anything from antiques, art, food, upcycled furniture and much more. Downtown Mansfield hosts a First Friday Shop Hop each month.
