The Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announced new improvements in the promotion and accessibility of events on its website, MansfieldTourism.com.
The widely used Calendar of Events (COE) now includes a search feature to make accessing specific dates faster. “The improvements are part of the CVB’s overall mobile strategy and Strategic Planning Process to increase the organization’s effectiveness in achieving its mission to promote and develop our County’s tourism product to attract and retain money for the local economy”, according to Bureau President Lee Tasseff. “The easier and smarter we make our tools, the better for the visitor and ultimately the community.”
The Calendar’s new targeted search feature allows visitors to the website to personalize their searches by selecting one or more of the nine color-coded categories. The categories span from very specific such as “Haunted Mansfield” to more general such as “Arts, Entertainment, & Music” to meet the interests of individuals who are either local or visiting.
Users of the search tool may further refine their results by selecting the days of the week or a specific month to view events that occur during that timeframe. The searchable aspect of the Calendar of Events, one of the most visited sections on MansfieldTourism.com, helps users sort through the overwhelming list of options to quickly find happenings matching their criteria.
