Exciting new running event comes to Mansfield
Rocketship Sports Management and The Ohio State Reformatory Preservation society are excited to announce that they will be bringing a new 7k running road race to Mansfield July 25, 2015 . The Inaugural Shawshank Hustle will begin and end at the Ohio State Reformatory and visit Shawshank Redemption filming sites in downtown Mansfield including a water stop at Brooks’ Bench. Actor Scott Mann will serve as the official starter of this family friendly event that is open to runners, walkers and those that love the movie.
Participants will receive a custom finisher medal, custom event number, commemorative event shirt, actor meetings, chip timing, chance at custom awards, on course and post-race snacks and a tour of The Ohio State Reformatory.
Race proceeds support Ohio State Reformatory Preservation Society.
Registration opened January 1 with nearly 1,100 participants from Texas, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Indiana committing to the event already. Registration is open online at the event website shawshankhustle.com and will be until event capacity of 2000 is reached.
