Shelby Team Wins  “Tell Us About Your Team” Contest

The Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau sponsored the 2nd year of the “Tell Us about Your Team” Contest in support of the upcoming Tough Mudder Ohio event, taking place at Mansfield Lahm Airport on May 17 & 18.  Congratulations to the grand prize winning team:  WOLF PACK, from Shelby, Ohio.

The contest, hosted on, invited Tough Mudder teams to tell the CVB something about their team and to post a photo for a chance to win t-shirts and the grand prize of the team photo on local billboards. The winning photo showed 3 Wolf Pack team members in full mud-induced excitement braving another Mudder mile during last year’s Tough Mudder Ohio. “We absolutely loved the enthusiasm in all their muddy glory that the picture displayed,” according to Kim Miers, CVB Meetings/Marketing Director.  “It embodied much of the Tough Mudder experience.” Pictured are Heidi Hoffman, Riley Fortman, and Karla Muntis.  Team members submitted their photo and told us, “The Pack is back! We are a crazy group of outgoing individuals! Last year we braved the cold and rainy Sunday Mudder. We are back to rock it again!”  There are a total of 10 Wolf Pack Team members.

The team will appear on two different billboards around Mansfield in May, on Route 13 North and Route 30.  The billboards, sponsored by the CVB, are designed to draw attention to the event date and Welcome Tough Mudder Ohio participants and spectators, while also recognizing our grand prize winners. CVB President Lee Tasseff said, “In addition to creating local buzz about the Tough Mudder event, the Bureau created Tough Mudder pages on our website to help out-of-town participants find hotels, restaurants, and discounts (called MUD DEALS) to make their stay in Mansfield another great part of the Tough Mudder weekend experience.”
