Convention & Visitors Bureau Recognized for Marketing Campaigns

CVB sweeps category in two competitions

The Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau (M/RCCVB) entered two of their marketing campaigns in two statewide tourism marketing competitions and walked away with the top honors in both!

“Being responsible for and hosting both Tough Mudder Ohio and the Shawshank 20-Year Reunion in the same year (only 4 months apart), in 2013 was amazing enough.  Getting recognized for our ability to implement effective marketing campaigns for each for a small office like ours was icing on the cake,” said Lee Tasseff, CVB President. “I am so proud of Kim (Miers) and Jodie (Snavely)!  They worked very hard on each event.  It was validation of our ability to take advantage of our opportunities and to drive both awareness and participation for events,” said Tasseff.

“Both projects were very special”, added Tasseff.  “Tough Mudder and the Shawshank Reunion were two of the most valuable events for this region, generating millions in new spending and positive public relations.”
